The mutual friend

This wonderful book: The Mutual Friend, by Frederick Busch is a joy. The Mutual Friend gives a very interesting insight into the darker side of Dickens life and a vivid portrait of the England and London of those days. It's a solid and imaginative reconstruction, both of the man and the period.
